You are bidding on a bronze medal issued to commemorate the building of Trinity Chapel at Bordesley in London and measuring 64 mm in Diameter. This was made around 1850, and is a great piece showing the newly erected Trinity Chapel on the obverse with the following writing on the reverse: “This chapel was erected by his majesty’s commissioners for building new churches upon a site with two ajoining houses and burial ground was purchased and fenced by voluntary contributions. The stone was laid by the right Honorable OTHER EARL OF PLYMOUTH on the 29th day of September, 1820 AD and the consecration by the right Reverend George Henry Law. DD Lord Bishop of Chester took place on the 23 day of January 1823 AD Rev. Samuel Crane BA Minister, Francis Goodwin Architect London” A great item!
